The Story
Secret Wars (1984) #11 — Doom with the Beyonder's power. Having stolen omnipotence, Doom struggles to contain the infinite power within his mortal frame. Even as a god, Doom's human flaws threaten to undo him.
Significance
The tragedy of Doom: even when he achieves ultimate power, his own insecurities and need for control prevent him from wielding it properly. This is the fundamental Doom paradox that makes him Marvel's most complex villain.
Historical Context
The 'Doom with infinite power' concept from Secret Wars #11 directly inspired Hickman's God Emperor Doom in 2015 and is expected to be central to the Avengers: Doomsday film.
Modern Age
1985-2000
